SPORT & LEISURE ANGLING

Thanks to Dave Slack at the Whittlesey Angling Centre for helping to compile the information.  

Whittlesey Angling Association has fishing rights to 19½ miles of water or bank? They are on the TWENTY FOOT RIVER (from Barnes Bridge to Goosetree Corner, COCKBANK (on the OS maps as Whittlesey Dike; from Whittlesey Sluice gates at Ashline Lock to Floods Ferry) and GLASSMOOR BANK (more of the Twenty Foot River; from Angel's Corner to Pondersbridge) 

The ACA record pike catch (117lb, 22 fish) was taken on the Twenty Foot system.  

There are also several lakes and pits in the area open to the public. 

Rights to the other waters in the area belong to Yaxley A.A. (King's Dike and Briggate River from Stanground to Ashline Lock)  March A.A. (Morton's Leam) and Peterborough District A.A. (the River Nene).
