A distraction burglary was committed on Monday 1st February at 9:15pm in Bellmans Road, Whittlesey.
It involved one man making enquiries about the householder's water pressure, at which point we believe he entered the home.
The man is described as white, around 21 – 40 years, 5ft 3'' to 5ft 5'' of slim build. The only description of clothing is a light coloured flat cap.
Officers have carried out house to house enquiries in the area and Crime Scene Investigators have attended the scene to search for forensic evidence.
